| Abstract |
A regression analysis involving tide gauge and altimeter sea level data is used to construct an estimate for interannual changes in sea level associated with the El Ni\~no Southern Oscillation in the tropical Pacific Ocean. The method provides an assessment of the island regions most at risk of anomalously high sea levels during peak El Ni\~no and La Ni\~na events.
